Product/service: a curated selection of fine wine

Wind down with a glass of wine, after winding up work for the day. There's nothing like a good sip of that fermented beverage to dissolve all your tensions and stress away. Pair that with your favourite tunes and a scented diffuser. Or a good novel. Your call.

To accompany those laid-back, do-not-disturb-me moments, wines by WineDown enter the picture. We sell a curated selection of fine wine the likes of those produced directly from the south of France. Expect to find white wines along the names of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Picpoul, and Muscat. If you prefer red wines, we have Cistus, Medoc, as well as Terrasses du Larzac, among others.

Our wines offer a balance of taste, where their sweetness, acidity, and tannin blend together to create flavours that achieve that desired equilibrium. Our regular customers often bring in complements that our beverages are some of the most notable drinks they have consumed in terms of taste that's not uneven but that complement each other instead.

We offer provisions for special events such as weddings and office parties. We also allow for test tasting to determine your wine of choice prior to your special event.

Whether it's to accompany your private R&R moments, or for big and social events, you can count on wines by WineDown to lift up some spirits.

Experimenting with ideas and words to make copies

Product/service: Prettify, a website that offers writing services to help writers "prettify" their works

There's that website that helps you with your grammar. There's also that website that helps you to make your writing simpler and better understood. But, what about one that makes your writing pretty and prim, like literature that is equivalent to an English countryside? Like a breathtaking castle on the hilltop of Germany? Or like that gorgeous aesthetics from an afternoon tea time in Paris?

When you want to turn it up and and make it pop, who do you turn to?

We come by the name "Prettify". To say it simply, we prettify your words. We help find words that give that extra oomph. We help you deliver.

It's not always about making words simple to understand for the target market. There are also readers out there who appreciate witty metaphors or clever puns in the headlines to their emails. There are also readers out there who like to be romanced by the words they read; words that spark the imagination and make them think. For this type of readers, you need words that impress. You need words that elevate.

And we understand it's not an easy feat. There's only so much energy and time we have to immerse ourselves in finding what will suit our readers' literary appetites. But over here, we've got a whole TEAM of dedicated literarians to help you out. From English Literature teachers to award-winning poets, our group promises to deliver words that are worthy of intellectual dissections in Literature classes.

No more words that get overlooked for being too basic. No more boring writing. Prepare to shine. You won't go dull with us.

Coarse Copies #12

Experimenting with ideas and words to make copies

It was a cold, cold night. The sun has set behind the trees and darkness has now swept through the streets like an ocean’s wave. A lady stepped out of a bustling restaurant, her walk curt and fast. The glare on her phone beamed harshly at her face as her thumbs jumped nimbly on its screen. It seems she was in a hurry. There were not many people around her. An elderly couple hobbled past her slowly, both of them huddling near each other to keep warm from the sharp pang of the night breeze. They shivered slightly. The lady also shivered, though she was more preoccupied with the gadget on her hands. Another passerby walked by – a young mother keeping warm through her thick, heavy jacket while pushing a stroller with her baby on it, also wearing a warm & cozy jacket while sucking milk from a bottle. Several feet ahead, the lady began to notice how the streets had become eerily silent. How come? Isn’t it dinner time? Shouldn’t the line of restaurants in this part of the streets be brimming with people coming to and fro? But, yet, it was. Then, her ears picked up an unnatural sound coming several steps behind her. It was the sound of heavy breaths. In, out. In, out. In, out. She felt a jolt of fear from within her. She decided to quicken her steps and seek the crowd. The heavy breaths could still be heard trailing behind her. She kept on walking, but she wasn’t getting much success in losing her pursuer. Just then, a crowd of families got out of a restaurant several feet in front of her, their voices piercing the silence of the street with chatter and laughter. The lady saw this as a chance to confront the person who’s been following her. Quickly and with rising anger, she turned around. To her surprise, her eyes adjusted to a rather short and portly waiter from the restaurant she had just dined in. He was holding her jacket, probably left there and forgotten. “Miss,” the waiter panted. “You forgot your jacket. It’s cold out,” he wheezed. Completely surprised and embarrassed, the lady replied. “Why, thank you! I, I must have been too preoccupied so I left my jacket back there! No wonder it’s been FREEZING! The hairs on my arms have been standing on their ends!” The lady gratefully received her jacket and gave the waiter quite a generous tip for the trouble. The waiter smiled, turned on his heels, and wobbled back to his place of work. Meanwhile, the lady, putting on her jacket, felt relieved and, finally, warm.

Tagline: Juniper Jackets... Don't leave without 'em.
